Rancang Bangun Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan Berbasis Web Dengan Php Dan Mysql Di Universidade Da Paz

Abstract

The  library  cannot  be  separated  from  student  learning  at  the  university  in  seeking knowledge. The facilities provided by this University are very beneficial for all students if they can make the most of them. The book collection in the library should always be updated every period in accordance with the implementation of the education system implemented by the government. However, not all libraries apply technology in the process of library activities such as borrowing books, member registration, searching for books and others. This makes library activities done manually or using bookkeeping.

                Due to the large and complicated management and to overcome some of the problems that arise above, the solution that can be implemented is to use a web-based library information system application. The development of the proposed system is carried out in two stages, namely, the data collection methodology stage which consists of interviews, field studies, literature studies and the next stage is software development using the Waterfall method which includes the stages of System Engineering, Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and Maintenance, the application is built on a web basis using a PHP program with a database using MySQL.

                With the existence of a library information system, it is expected to speed up the process of completing the work of the library section so that it can save time and costs and can improve the quality of service to students at Universidade da Paz
